Enuresis, or bedwetting, affects 1 out of 6 children at the age of 5. The emotional and social issues which can result from this behavior merit intervention. A physical or medical basis should first be ruled out by the childs physician since Nite Train-r does not work for these conditions. Bedwetting, in most cases, is a result of deep sleep and the failure of the usual cues to awaken the child to the stimuli of a full bladder. Nite Train-r is a compact moisture sensitve pad which is placed in the childs pajamas at bed time. When a drop of urine contacts the pad it sounds an alarm near the childs ear to awaken him. Repeated training over a short period of weeks usually teaches the child to awaken on his own when there is a need to urinate.
